This single 21-minute track was created on a residency in Arduino by Lucifer Sky who is from my birthplace of Coventry and whom I have previously reviewed on here. Plants on the residency may have had a part in this recording too. The track was mastered by GENDERISTHEBASTARD who I recently saw play an excellent live set as a duo with Blackcloudsummoner as Kisschase.

Viridian Rush immediately shimmers in sound with noise that sounds like a combination of guitars and electronics. Brief passages of distorted, fuzzy noise seem to threaten the initial optimistic summery sounds at first. Passages of brighter noise and strings then begin to build a flow of noise, it sounds spiritual and threatening when in full flow. It achieves its sound with different combinations of drones, echoes, gong like sounds, what I assume are guitar sourced noises and different feedback sounds. There is a shift created through the repeated inclusion and exclusion of the different sounds that I mentioned being used. Pace and depth continually changes too, allowing for the track to morph and change as it plays through. Repeated synth patterns flow to allow the track to die off and end.

This isn't harrowing like the previous release, but incredibly threatening and dark. Top work that still sounds like nothing else out there. Beautiful sounds worthy of any Bandcamp collection that do the Ghost Town proud.
