Sick System – I Was. I Am. I Will Be. (Homage to Rosa Luxemburg) – 2023 – CDr/Download – [IND151]

     1.       I Was. I Am. I Will Be. (Homage to Rosa Luxemburg) 1.

     2.       I Was. I Am. I Will Be. (Homage to Rosa Luxemburg) 2.

     3.       I Was. I Am. I Will Be. (Homage to Rosa Luxemburg) 3.

Homage to Rosa Luxemburg begins with a reading from Rosa Luxemburg’s writings delivered with a clear, concise voice. The wall kicks in, I am immediately impressed by the shift from introduction to sonic chaos. The wall blasts distortion over creaking, dragging sounds as drones go off in the background. The feel of the wall is a rustic haunted with an aged timbre that is emphasized through the continual creaking buried within the distortion.

The second movement is higher pitched, with faster movement and cuts through with sharper noise a lot. The main sound becomes something that lies between the noise equivalent of a solo and the sound trying to be vocal as it jitters its chaotic dialogue out. As part 2 progresses, it becomes choppier, faltering, allowing sounds to pause while the others take prominence for a time.

A howling, wailing, distorted blast becomes the 4th movement. I like the looped wail of the sound that is added to this part, the distortion is subtle on this, the pain of the sound is prominent here. Individual sounds drop back subtly to allow for the isolation of particular (howling) sounds to emphasise the agonised aspects of the track. A reading of Luxemburg’s writings ends the work.

There’s often a lot of online discussion about good and bad harsh noise, with an emphasis on crap Bandcamp projects. This is good Harsh Noise bolstered by the backing of an excellent label and a physical release.

Infelix – Abyssal Despondency – 5” CDr/Download – 2023 – [IND150F]

https://infelix.bandcamp.com/

1.       I. Murmurs Ov The Tormented.

2.       II. The Stagnant Nausea Ov Existence.

3.       III. E_R_D.

4.       IV. Ecstasy ov Null.

5.       V. Stench ov Death.

6.       VI. Sepulchral Occupation.

7.       VII. Burdened by Ash.

8.       VIII. Endless Rotting Sky.

INFELIX has musical roots in 80s and 90s industrial music, blackened dystopian ambience, nightmarish death industrial, depressive black metal, and doomed power electronics. Philosophically INFELIX navigates depression, environmental collapse, anti-capitalism, anti-fascism, animal rights, existential dread, cosmic pessimism, misanthropy, and metaphysical nihilism. Quote from the Infelix Bandcamp

I am familiar with the work of Infelix from a previous Inner Demons batch. The project has been around since 1998. The creative mastermind behind the project is Jason M. Stevens who is also does the project Lapsed.

Murmurs Ov the Tormented begins the sounds moving through ambient landscapes, created by drones that gently evolve via shifts of tone and mists of distortion. Thudding, roaring distortion and vocals deep inside the mix resonate The Stagnant Nausea of Existence – the sound is big.

E_R_D demonstrates effective repetition and a noisier approach to the sound, this carries through to Ecstasy ov Null the layering is impressive here, sounds weave through each other and bounce off each other beautifully. Stench ov Death utilises effective electronics that perk my interest further. The churning sound that begins to dominate the sound is strong. Sepulchral Occupation is the album in full stride, the beat is slow and acts like a pillar for the noise to explode around slowly. I am often averse to beats in noise and take a lot of persuading of their validity, here I am persuaded. The track gets deeper and thicker as it goes on. Burdened by Ash is the perfect balance of noise, melodic synth as if soundtracking something in a sci fi film. Endless Rotting Sky allows some diseased drone to infect vocal samples and spread the noise rot and a melodic, dramatic end.

The majestic, large sound resonates across this album with its cinematic ambition. The Blackened Death Industrial factor is there, the darkness of the tracks is also consistent throughout the album.

Jettenbach – A Meditation on Procrastination – CDr/Download – 2023 – [IND149]

https://innerdemonsrecords.bandcamp.com/album/a-meditation-on-procrastination-ind149

www.jettenbach.bandcamp.com

      1.   One Simply Can’t Sustain This Level of Gear Acquisition. But I Might Get Another Reverb.

      2.  I Have Come to Accept That I Will never Have as Many Pedals as Dan and That’s OK.

This is one of those releases that grips me immediately. It begins with a new age ambient feel on One Simply Can’t Sustain…. The sound has consistent gradual shift and change, within the grand scope of its landscape of sound. Jettenbach uses drones and synthesiser sounds as the main sources to evoke a subtle darkness punctuated by rays of light through synth key notes until it begins to glitch out and comes to an end.

A synthesiser noise tries to take off but it can’t, the sound is rephrased through pops and drones that slowly evolve into the even bigger sound of I Have Come to Accept... There is also a clearer air of suspense to this track with a feeling that the sounds are repeatedly coming at the listener like waves in the ocean – soundwaves.

Despite the humorous, carefree titles, A Meditation on Procrastination presented here is complex and very well executed. I like the whole body of work of this release, the small quirks and glitches work well to add character to the expansive lushness this artist continually produces. A futuristic gem of a release.

CHEFKIRK – A Non-technical Introduction – CDr/Download – 2023 – [IND148]

https://innerdemonsrecords.bandcamp.com/album/a-non-technical-introduction-ind148

https://chefkirk.bandcamp.com/music

https://cementimental.bandcamp.com/

     1.       Accidental Birds.

Accidental Birds pulsates into life, CHEFKIRK controls the pulsations whilst warped waveform noises play with those pulsations as they morph into glitches of sound. I like the fresh, original use of noise that combines with other sounds as if to add a bumpiness to the movement of sound, I’d describe it as having a deliberate multi-layered, rough texture. At times it falls into cacophony of psychedelic science fiction sound effects as if in a film from the 60s or early 70s. It has a lot in common with the work of Tim Drage’s Cementimental project and I would advise working together. This sound seems to occasionally push overload on itself and run excitedly towards a meltdown. This is a strong release, well worthy of purchase.

Abrasion Addict - Brutalist Detrius.

Abrasion Addict – Brutalist Detritus – CD/Download – love earth music – 2023 – LEM288

https://abrasionaddict.bandcamp.com/

http://www.loveearthmusic.com/

1.       Brutalist Detritus.

2.       Death Throes.

3.       Metallic Enslavement.

4.       Flesh and Steel as One.

5.       Purgatory.

6.       Release.

Abrasion Addict – Brutalist Detritus > New UK Noise Project from Blackpool England.

Machinery clunks away as something whirs away behind the noise, this comes to the forefront of the noise and the chugging noise dives from one side of the stereo range to the other, this is dizzying and aggressive, it is also a good start. Harsh screeching kicks in, dies out and reboots again. Walls of distortion make brief appearances, the machinery comes back alone, soon joined by screeching noise again. This is Brutalist Detritus.

A larger assault of noise is Death Throes, this has a heavy bass undercurrent with shifting, screeching sharpness cutting over the top. The bass roar is dense so that the higher pitched sounds have good backing. At times it feels as if the two are being pushed together forcefully so that the combination of Dense and Harsh’s explosion is the result of this. The sharper sounds become increasingly dominant towards the end through their relentless assault, it becomes a warped lead performance. As it races towards its’ own Death Throes, the track splutters, coughs at high speed into its own end.

Screaming, metallic, abrasive noise greets me for Metallic Enslavement which continues at the same speed as Death Throes. Space is allowed between the noise, there isn’t an overwhelming backing density so it can move at speed whilst retaining a clarity of sound. Elements of noise are moved in and out of the work to allow different interactions and scenarios to occur.  At one point the sound is stripped down to crude scraping and chugging noises to allow a real ugliness of sound to resonate.

The longest track is Flesh and Stone, this uses very aggressive on the ears screeching abrasion with a heavy backing bass noise roaring in the background. I become aware how truly aggressive the work is during the sonic assault of this track, I wonder if there have or will be live performances to expand and concrete these methods? The clarity of the work goes from murky to sharp, deliberately and it is effective. The dense bass is allowed to lead at times to allow spaced, wailing interactions of the high-pitched frequencies over it. Friction pressures the sound near the end to create an effective drag.

Low rumbling and atmospheric whirring create a less busy atmosphere for noises to crackle on and flit across the stereo range. Screechy noise begins to chatter across all of this, entitled and arrogantly ignoring the big important rumbles that are occurring. Purgatory is complicated, many layers go off.

The final demonstration is called Release. Here, sounds try to accelerate and are cut off for others to try. I feel as if I am being jolted into different demonstrations – in, out, in, out, in, out… I like how the sound is cut off and cut into, the creator is ruthless.

This is a new project, so advice comes before the finale. Keep releasing on other labels, network, keep releasing to cement your reputation and develop your vision. Play live when you can, this explosive aggression needs to be heard. Good album, good work and keep it up.

Putrescent Tapes #2

Putrescent Tapes New Batch – 2022 – Cassette/Download

https://putrescenttapes.bandcamp.com/

https://putrescenttapes.bigcartel.com/products

Putrescent Tapes has established itself as a strong, young cult Harsh Noise Label in America. The label based in Pennsylvania and has been producing batches of tapes since 2017. I have reviewed the label before and was impressed by the work they sent to me back in 2019. https://1208fullerave.blogspot.com/2019/01/putrescent-tapes.html . I am sure that it has gone on forever, but I notice young labels of now create an identity via the batches of releases they put out, often curating new, obscure projects to create an identity and reputation. Dagger seems to focus on grimy, menacing Harsh Noise and Wall work.

Flesheaterforest – Deathmatch – Cassette/Download – 2022

https://flesheaterforest.bandcamp.com/

      1.    555.

      2.    Bone.

      3.    Frozen.

Deathmatch is the first time I have heard the project Flesheaterforest, so I am going in blind. Blackened rumblings and scrapings create 555 in a unique way, it doesn’t sound like anything else. The nearest distant parallel to this I could think of is the Esoteric cave noise of Tunnels of Ah.  Percussive, Industrial clanging as if made from a guitar or homemade instrument is being hit in Bone. This track has a direct aggression that bounces around with the sole source of sound manipulated to create quiet and noisy passages of sound. Frozen combines all the characteristics of the previous tracks with a synthesiser providing a rhythm, whilst scraping noise screams across the whole track. Warped violence is projected at the listener as the work continually loops falls and escalations. All I can say is that Flesheaterforest is a unique, odd, strong project and Deathmatch is a powerful release.

Kadaver – Never Again (Part II) - Cassette/Download – 2022.

https://kadaver.bandcamp.com/

      1.    Sardinepackung.

      2.    How To Destroy Basically Anything.

Kadaver is Michael Zolotov, based in Israel. Kadaver has gradually risen to the top ranks of modern Death Industrial. This is the most well-known project in this batch of releases and has been active for several decades.

Sardinepackung uses a stripped-down Harsh Noise sound, that feels deliberately digital, it isn’t loads of layered distortion, just a movement of humming noise, that introduces different elements of abrasion over various parts of the track to create tension and maximise the sound’s volume. The progression of noises and their continually rising intensity builds up to a massive sound. How To Destroy Basically Anything hums itself to life, choppy distortion stabs into the sound. The track seems to resonate on those two elements for a long time as they contrast and morph around each other. As things melt down the sound becomes increasingly fractured.

This is a great release that leaves me scared as the closing samples play out. However, Kadaver and Great are two words that are frequently used in the same work.

The Ide of Earth – The Idea of Earth – Cassette/Download – 2022

https://theideofearth.bandcamp.com/

      1.    Congested Dig.

      2.    Chairoscuro.

      3.    Dank Eternity.

      4.    Man Bites Nature Bites Man.

      5.    Treading Horizon.

      6.    Treading Corpse-Filled Waters.

Condemned walls of loops burnt into drones, stagnant sonics and bio-walls in the redundant name of mechanization and industry decimating this planet. Mantras of pollution for the future of our end. STAGNIC. Biography off the project’s Bandcamp.

I like the Harsh Wall this project delivers, the challenging nature of the work uses a digital distortion and a fractured, rhythmic distortion to make Congested Dig. Sharper frequencies replace this to deliver Chairoscuro, interruptive sharp noise if further interrupted by short gasps of distortion – I admire how this project uses playfulness and annoying, irritating noise to build work. I think this demonstrates an innovative approach that is in line with the kind of Harsh Noise Inner Demons Records favours. There is what I call an early, primitive noise approach that is refreshing on Dank Entity – I feel they make nods to SPK or early Premature Ejaculation. The treble assault on this track is sharp and brutal on the ears. A manic savagery takes over for Man Bites Nature Bites Man, it is as if the project delivers increasing methods of sonic brutality. Ominous Drones and loops are Treading Horizon the subtle shifts in tone and speed of the pulsations cause constant movement in the work. The finale uses a busier, direct violence for Treading Corpse-Filled Waters. Choppy blasts of distortion and screeching race across each other. This is a great, challenging, confrontational release.

Шумоизоляция – Supreme Pleasure – Cassette/Download – 2022.

https://shumoizolyatsiya.bandcamp.com

1.         Supreme Pleasure (Part I)

2.         Supreme Pleasure (Part II)

This Russian project has been active since 2017.

A pure cold, consistent blast of wall, the density of each wall is heavy with no space or recognisable back elements of non-noise sound. Each Supreme Pleasure is very similar to the other, both share practically identical textures. There is a warm bass glow whilst a mass of static drags across it. The depth of the bass changes slowly to vary the intensity of the work throughout.  Pure Russian coldness, good, bleak work.

Wallmart – Super Bowl Sunday – Cassette/Download – 2022

https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/eddie-ej-giles-of-final-solution/id1591297508?i=1000575350236

      1.    Halftime Performance.

      2.    Post-Game Review.

This is a project by Edward Giles of Final Solution who runs the group Wallmart on Facebook. Final Solution is a now a key chapter in the development of American Power Electronics, I am obsessed with Hydra, the project of FS Greg Scott (RIP & respect x 1000) The resurgence of FS with the reissue of their material and emergence of their live tapes seems well in motion over recent years. There is a book on Greg Scott’s work due soon.

Sharp, shifting wall noise acts out on Halftime Performance. This wall has a thick, crispy texture, kind of like a Lion Bar made into sound. There is a fast pace shooting through it, sharp shards of sound slightly overlap the edges giving a fuzzy edge texture. I am unsure of what background sounds are there, the density of the wall makes it hard to tell, but with the theme of American Football, it isn’t hard to guess. A sense of overdrive is forced into the sound midway through, adding urgency to the work. The sharpness of the work increases making it a spikier wall at the end.

A sharper noise assault introduces Post-Game review, before the wall takes the lead of the sound. A slower drag to the bass sound and a faster sharp noise drags across it, demonstrating a tension across the texture. As the accelerated blast and dragging bass shift the tension becomes the main movement, it is as if it is pulled across the track slowly and violently. The hum of the back drones starts to sing through the tension for a time, until the main bass roar takes prominence.

This is a new arm to the work of Edward Giles, a strong release with good attention to detail.

White Widow – Void Infirmary – Cassette/Download – 2022.

https://whitewidowphilippines.bandcamp.com/

https://whitewidownoise.bandcamp.com/

      1.    Lesser Banishing Ritual.

      2.    Mind Eraser.

      3.    Corroding Black Granite.

      4.    Black Avalanche.

      5.    Void Infirmary.

      6.    Serpentine Chain Jail.

Lesser Banishing Ritual is haunted, warped noise. There seems to be a background sound that sounds like wailing, like how harsh noise wall works, but with a cage of noise rather than a mass of distortion over it. The sound goes loopier on Mind Eraser, choppy noise cuts across other sharp, fractured noise to create a hailstorm of blips and scratches. Corroding Black Granite makes use of distinct, sustained, sharper noise in a wailing grid of sound. The dramatic intensity of the individual sounds rises throughout the track. Black Avalanche uses similar methods, but it is amplified via a heavy back bass running through it. The full palette of noise frequently reduces allowing for duos of noise to play off against each other for sustained periods of time. The sharper noise resonates and sharpens at the end, violently clashing with hum and crackle to maximum intensity. The title track, sputters distortion, whilst the fractured wailing weaves through it as other noises cut in, this creates a heated sonic argument. The overall sound is like a death surrounded by buzzing flies laying eggs on the carcass. The imposing Serpentine Chain Jail delivers a bleak finale to the album, it sounds like hell.

This Philippines duo have been releasing since 2019, I honestly think we have some new up and coming greats here as they are bloody good and Void Infirmary is a great release, possibly one of the best things I have heard all year.

Cursed Moors – Cassette/Download – 2022.

      1.    Cursed Moors s/t.

This is a new anonymous project that I am keen to hear.

Oh yes, this is orgasmic from the offset, screaming feedback wails at me over distorted acceleration, it is fucking nasty. This is violent, busy, attacking Harsh Noise. This is like a mass of violence with individual elements clearly defined through the business. It roars out well at times, accelerating and rising in volume when needed. No prior history adds mystery as you can’t categorise or track it. I am curious if this is the Dagger guy having a sonic fight with himself into new territory. Either way this is bleak and brilliant. Possibly another 2022 champion release.

Support Unit - Illegalist

Support Unit – Illegalist – Trash Fuck Records- Cassette/Download – 2022.

https://trashfuckrecords.bandcamp.com/album/illegalist

https://supportunit.bandcamp.com/

https://trashfuckrecords.bandcamp.com/

       1.       The Spectre of Jules Bonnot.

       2.       May Every Crime Be an Attack on Property.

Wikipedia says - Jules Joseph Bonnot (October 14, 1876 – April 28, 1912) was a French bank robber famous for his involvement in a criminal anarchist organization dubbed "The Bonnot Gang" by the French press. He viewed himself as a professional and avoided bloodshed, preferring to outwit his targets.

Support Unit is based in Fargo, North Dakota. It is the work of Brandon Wald and has been releasing since 2015. Brandon also runs Black Ring Rituals Records.

The Spectre of Jules Bonnot throws out a dense thick wall with an unnerving undercurrent. The compression in this work is immediately felt by the listener. Is there a riot going on in the background? I don’t know, but the fact that I am shitting myself from the off, is a sign of good work. There is a rhythm to the distortion that chops away, but the thickness to the sound is consistently present. Any shifts in the work (of which there are several) are immediately noticeable as they happen – these can either be in the compression of the distortion or what is happening in the background. The Spectre of Jules Bonnot, drags and shudders its’ way across close to twenty minutes.

The second track – May Every Crime Be an Attack on Property has more of a shout to it’s wall of distortion, it yells at the listener, not as bass heavy, but a nastier with a slightly sharper tone. The disturbing background chaos of the previous track is replaced by a torturous, hellish background undercurrent. Jarring pitches of tone cut into the distortion. These changes cause the work to go into the more challenging wall territory demonstrated by acts like Dosis Letalis, RRR and anything Dan Fox (Inner Demons Records) creates. The progress of HNW work is subtle, it takes challenging work like this to demonstrate that. Moving on, this is a livelier track than the opener as the different elements that shift between combatting and complimenting each other endlessly add a lot of energy.

Illegalist fully reflects the danger of it's subject, you didn't mess around with the Bonnot Gang. Support Unit delivers strong work, this is well worthy of purchase and the label fully deserves your support.

Inner Demons Records #16

Inner Demons Records #16

Inner Demons Records – 3”CDr/Downloads – 2021

https://innerdemonsrecords.bandcamp.com/

https://www.innerdemonsrecords.com/about

https://thirtyfive.bandcamp.com/

There has been a bit of a gap for me reviewing material of late, due to life stuff going off, time makes things easier. So, what better time to go through and share my thoughts on the latest (but one) batch of 3” Cdrs by one of my favourite labels - Inner Demons Records.

The Sister Hook – 200 Feet of Main, 150 Feet of Luff. – 3” CDr/Download – 2021 – [IND095]

          1.   200 Feet of Man, 150 Feet of Luff.

The Sister Hook is an anonymous project and 200 Feet of Main, 150 Feet of Luff is the debut release. I am immediately hit by a sharp, high-pitched drag that pulls across the roaring distortion. This has a very dense texture and the shards of screeching noise feel as if they pull across the work. I like the thick texture of the main sound – it works well. Having read a bit about Wall Noise and watched things, I believe wall noise is sourced from specific themed samples or recordings, magnified and redelivered as something else completely. I wonder where this was originally sourced from. This drags across 15 minutes, I felt lost within it and I am grateful for that.

Hendekagon – Psalms For the Unreligious – 2021 – 3”CDr- [IND096]

https://www.adventurousmusic.com/

https://adventurousmusic.bandcamp.com/music

1.   I - The New Religion, That Divides the World In Consumer and Explorer Is Ending.

2.   II – The Attempt to Eliminate the Natural Instinct to Think For Oneself And To Care For Others Is Dissolving.

3.   III- A Holistic Approach to Extinguish Thoughts About Gods in Oneself, So to Become An Independent Individual Is Here.

“my object in life is to dethrone god and destroy capitalism.” Karl Marx

Quote on project’s Religious Unmusikalisch release.

Psalms For the Unreligious is a classic example of where Inner Demons selects something left of field to release, they do this with every batch – throw in a few oddities. True to this, Fail and Hendekagon have worked together in 2021, this can be found here. This gem of a release builds harmonic, deep drones that have a religious feel as if played in a modern church, the sounds make the listener feel as if they are immersed in a space, experiencing the music. Contextually this makes me ask questions: Is it to make the unreligious feel spirituality or is it a critique? Either way, this is an outstanding experimental release.

This Is What I Hear When You Talk – Koala Chlamydia - 3”CDr/Download – 2021 [IND097]

          1.   Koala Chlamydia.

Inner Demons House project This Is What I Hear When You Talk, steps in with a track made of deep drones and echoing noise. Shouts seem partially buried within the sound but are audible enough to be a constant presence. Koala Chlamydia is a relentless vortex that increases in density as it progresses. This has the oddness of Dan Fox’s other project FAIL, but still stands on its’ own, radiating Industrial, ambient hostility on this lone 20-minute track of hellish greatness.

Napalmed Monk – Inner Challenge – 3”CDr/Download – 2021 – [IND098]

https://ulkapindrecords.bandcamp.com/

         1.   Inner Challenge.

The furnaces of HNW Hell are reignited as Inner Challenges blasts a rolling, scraping distortion, it feels as if it is constantly turning over as if a big ball of sound in rotation. At the midpoint, it feels as if there is some melody trapped in the mass of the distortion. Later, there is a clear hiss that overlays the entire sound, shrinking its mass slightly as concentration wavers between the two. I do feel an emersion into the sound happens and you feel engaged within its’ physicality.

Foot and Mouth Disease – Rows of Ten – 3”CDr/Download – 2021 – [IND101]

https://footandmouthdisease.bandcamp.com/music

https://www.facebook.com/Foot-and-Mouth-Disease-272250709456435/

1.   tgd 9.

2.   tgd 10.

3.   tgd 11.

4.   tgd 12

5.   tgd 13.

6.   tgd 14.

I have previously reviewed Foot and Mouth Disease in 2019 with their 2 x 3”CDr release Forever Composed of Nows on Inner Demons. Foot and Mouth Disease is a Rochester, New York project that has been releasing since around 1996. Foot and Mouth is Lawrence J. Patti, there have been many online and physical releases.

Feedback resonates like a wind across a barren landscape, this is tgd9. Scraping occurs as the pitched resonations playout. Jingling frequencies form tgd10, this ambient landscape is slightly busier as subtle deep howls evoke a background menace. BY the time tgd11 comes round, I am beginning to remember why I liked this project. Warbling underwater noise converses with sharp, tingly frequencies. Rich landscapes build up on each track. Rows of Ten feels like a journey, representing the many shifts and moods that happen along the way. The mastery of sounds, their interaction, the moods they create is excellent.

When I hear this project, I hear good work. Rows of Ten has me converted; I am a fan of this great project.

Conure – Notes On A Spinning Table – 3”CDr/Download – 2021 – [IND102]

http://conure.conurenoise.com/

https://conure.bandcamp.com/

        1.   Notes on a Spinning Table.

        2.   Preliminary Notes on a Table.

Conure is a project of Mark Wilson project based in Berlin and has been active since 2000. Notes on a Spinning Table is the third release on Inner Demons records.

Simple keyboard drones, shifting to different notes are coupled with distortion/hiss. A few other sonic elements subtly enter the composition at different times across the near 12 minutes of ‘Notes on a Spinning Table.’ How this is so effective, I don’t know, but it truly does work well. The shorter second track ‘Preliminary Notes on a Table’ has a lot of distortion which flies off the handle more, still backed by keyboard notes and drones. This track becomes a bigger display of noise that is eventually pulled back into check and to an end.

Bingo! This is another IDRs experimental gem. Strong work and a nice Saturday perk. Conure is very worthy of further investigation and purchase.

15 Degrees Below zero – Abandoned – 3”CDr/Download – 2021 – [IND103]

https://15dbz.bandcamp.com/

http://15dbz.conurenoise.com/

https://www.facebook.com/15degreesbelowzero/

          1.   Abandoned (full length version)

This project is Mark Wilson (Conure), Daniel Blomquist & Michael Addison. All previously worked together as Imperial Floral Assault Unit and they have been releasing as 15 Degrees Below Zero since 2000.

This work is an ambitious use of drones, distorted hiss and noise. It is complexed, subtle, moody and shifts continuously. Abandoned is a spacey, dreamlike passage of work that has an element of futuristic sci fi to it. This could easily be in a soundtrack to the next Bladerunner film, it would slot in there with ease.

Basically, what we have here is another gem of a release, beautiful work, well done.

Top batch Dan, great work.

Nothing & Nobody 2022.
