Two artists, each doing one side of Palestra, Chier from France (active since 2015) and Placenta Lyposuction from Croatia (active since 2009).

Chier provides a low crackle wall with a mid-splatter kick. It has a forced flow as if falling back and being pushed back up continuously, this effect lessens at times. As the levels rise and fall, the Walls dynamic alters slightly, different aspects of sound are altered at different times to achieve this. This is a steady wall with a slowly evolving sound and an empty background to preserve minimal purity. Top.

A thicker bass and fogginess are present in Placenta Lyposuction’s Wall. The crackle judders and spits a lot, whilst the bass roar is deep adding a background depth. As the levels fall this grabs your attention, this really drops in the background as if lost in a storm, which forces you to follow the sound wherever it goes. There are several significant changes in level as the work folds out, as levels rise back up, it is like an explosion. Good work.
